About Me

I was born and raised in an urban environment in Newark, New Jersey. I am from a large family of 9 children. I have 3 beautiful daughters, 22, 13, and 6, whom I love and adore very much. During the year of 2013, I relocated to Georgia to be close to my family. After being here for 4 months, my mom passed away. I have been an educator for 21 years.I have a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a master's in Educational Leadership. I have taught students in all grades k-8. I had the pleasure of working in Dekalb County at Avondale Elementary before making my way to Live Oak Elementary, a school that I couldn't have made a better choice. While working at Live Oak, I had the pleasure of working with students in second and third grade, all of whom soared at the end of every year. Last year, my second year at Live Oak, I was nominated as our school's Teacher of the Year, an accomplishment I will always hold very dear. My goal for this school year is to help, each and everyone of my students, to not only succeed, but exceed their highest potential. In addition, to forming a close relationship with my parents this year. I am a true believer that teamwork makes the dream work. With that in mind, we must show them what Team All Stars is all about!
